Warm inside the wooden box
Staring on to electrified glass
Fingers tapping on plastic blocks
Rhythm or no rhythm
A wired animal resting on the table
A click here, a click there
Somewhere beyond eternity
A phone rings
Someone answers
Whispers and talks
Fingers pointing at me
A hand in the air, asking
“Shall I forward?”
My desk buzzes
With the vibrating phone
Peaceful smile of awesome stranger
“Proposal approved” he smiles again
“We’re going together, congrats!”
“Thanks again” I smile back
“You’ve made my day”
Back to the glass, plastic and wood
Sipping water
Sometimes coffee
Sent the sun home
Miles to go
Where is sleep?

I noticed that you follow my “professional” writing blog but not my personal blog. On that blog you’ll find that I write poetry as well. They tend to be a bit on the darker side but I just wanted to mention it. My personal blog is at http://www.latoyadavidson.com. My poetry is on the “Melancholic Maladies” page.
